Vana Chiou

Dr. Vana Chiou is member of the Laboratory Teaching Staff in the Department of Geography at UAegean. She teaches Didactics and Educational Psychology and Methods of Teaching and Promoting Human Geography. She has supervised bachelor and master thesis in the field of education in geography. She has co-authored articles in books and journals. She is member of the edirorial board of the book series “Voices from the Classroom”, Waxmann.. Her research interests include: contemporary methods of teaching, teacher training, inclusion and education. She has participated in many European and research projects since 1999.

Electra Petracou

Electra Petracou is Associate Professor in Political Geography, the Department of Geography. She studied Political Science, International Relations and Ethnic Relations. Her teaching experience, research work and interests focus on movements of populations, asylum, refugee and migration issues, global, European and national policies on borders,migration, integration and citizenship as well as decision making on social, political and international issues.
