With the aim of contributing to raise teachers’ and students’ awareness on AC and on the value of democracy, diversity and unity in Europe, ACC project partners came together for our meeting at the University of the Aegean (PANEPISTIMIO AIGAIOU) in Mytilene between 18-19 October 2024.

After an insightful check-in with all the partners, our Mytilene meeting turned into a very fruitful work day. The discussions on work package 3, which is the design of the Active Citizen Compass, helped the consortium create a self-report tool that covers all aspects of being an effective citizen, not only in Europe, but around the globe.

The meeting showed, one more time, how important it is for partners to come together, share their opinion, brainstorm together, and of course spend time socially together. The highlight of our third consortium meeting were the following:

1. The news that the book on Active Citizenship has reached its final stage. Soon we will be sharing the it on our project website.
2. The arrangement of focus group meetings in all partner countries to get external feedback for the project
3. The revisions and input that will shape the learning outcomes to be used during the training
4. The start of workpackage 4, which will give everyone the chance to use their creativity and expertise to develop didactic material for the project.

It was wonderful to see how all activities work towards the ultimate aim of supporting pupils in becoming for responsible and active citizens within their communities.

As was mentioned in the project proposal, our next meeting will be conducted in Graz, Spain in Marc 2025 and the partners already started working on the preparations of the meeting.
